Projects 62 Fairlane Kustoms???

Discussion in 'Traditional Customs' started by merctruck, Jul 27, 2014.

  1. I am helping a buddy bring his long time love back to the streets a 62 Fairlane 500. He wants to build a Kustom with it but I am fresh out of Ideas on this one as I don't tend to have cars this new. Any pictures or ideas from mild to wild would be of great help to give it a direction. Thanks.

I dont feel the vibe for a Custom in the little 60s Fairlane. IMHO they look better as a hot rod or factory performance car.

Slammed with standard offset cragars, (suprimes are over used) bellflower tips and a bunch of lace and flake comes to mind for me.

still one of my favorites, very subtle, but a great example. 2000_21_7.jpg

  7. I tend to think of the small Fairlanes as hot rods also,,but the yellow one does look good. HRP

i had to abandon my wife '62 when we moved across state. i think mild custom is a good route to take. the second pic'd here is a good example. though the first is awesome....
