Looks a lot like my buddy Bas's car, Casey!
more for the weekend
and even more
Those are some great pics FunnyCar65, thanks for sharing
This one looks like it might have been shot at the old Irwindale dragstrip maybe? I've got a shot or two of their '64 model year racecar lying around the house somewhere.
Can't help with that but .. Do know where the 64 wagon is

The "Blairs Speed Shop" car driven by Steve Bovan.
Not the best centered picture but you guys calling for more '62s have me really digging into my closets.
For those who like '62s, here is a picture from the 6-25-10 issue of "National Dragster" of a good running stocker in the midwest. If the car is running in E/SA, it's probably a 383ci motor with 2 4bbls (in line) rated @ 343 HP. This combo has always been competitive (even before the max wedges appeared) in NHRA class racing, but it is relatively rare.
I can't say it enough more great shots sir!
Any of you have any information on the '63 Savoy called "HOSS" in the attached picture? My father just purchased the car and would love to know the racing history on it. I've been looking and haven't been able to find anything on it. All I know is that it raced in in the Phillidelphia/Detroit area. Thanks so much.
FunnyCar65, thanks for the great pics of some Southern s/s and f/x cars (posts 813-815). The 62 (not Bill Tanner) is a classic. Do you know where they were taken?
Just had this delivered about 20min. ago front floors are rusty but the rest is solid.Drawing is what I have planned.
Very cool,nice find
Keep us updated, the plans look great!
Dashman's Hot Rod & Speed Parts
On the evil auction site right now.
I'm looking for any pictures of a 1963 Dodge named "Bounty Hunter" and a 1965 A990 Plymouth named "Blue Max".If you have some, please post.Thanks.
We ran against the "Gene's" car at Conn Dragway in '68. I forget the guys name that drove it. He came over to our pit, looked at our car and said something like, if he had a car that looked that bad he'd be ashamed to show up at the track, or something to that effect.
We beat him like a stepchild in eliminations!
Didn't even need to protest the fact that the car has an altered wheelbase.
Thunder Valley Dragways
What a beautiful car! The car looks clean. Nice work
My coronet AF/X..
Not vintage shots.... but my old '62 max wedge clone, and my dads 64 race hemi clone.
