Nova 2 door hard top, convertible and 2 door sedan doors are longer than 4 door sedan and wagon doors. The wheel base and overall length is also the same for all the models except wagons. Wagons have have the same wheel base, but they are longer after the rear wheels. Hard tops, and 'verts are also shorter in height than sedans, and wagons. A 2 door wagon conversion with sedan doors, and quarter panels is the less stress way. Theres only 3 hardtop nova wagons like novasrus that we've seen. Ive seen over 15 of the sedan wagons.
Here is another take on a Nova wagon. A couple of these came out of the Boise area in the 70's. This one was built by a friend of mine and surfaced in the NW recently. I believe he sold it to someone in the Portland OR area in the late 70's. It started out as a wagon but he moved the rear window forward and made a Mini Camino out of it.
Heres a few more pics I think we are putting it together for the last time I hope the be done by mid may
Wayne Bushey from National Nostalgic Nova did one about twenty years ago, it was a tubbed version, bright red, grey interior,BBC. I talked to him at Geezers at the Grove, Maple Grove Raceway, 08, and he still has it. His current project is restoring the original 66' Jungle Jim racecar, that will be cool! Hey, very nice work, I too love the early Nova's, have a 65 and a 67 SS since 1970, the 65 might just get a straight axle soon.
Very clean looking build. It will have a lot of people shaking their heads when you get this one out and about. Be sure to post the conslusion. Frank
