This probably belongs to someone here. It was one of my top favorites at a show a couple years ago.

Is the ultimus still in existence somewhere? that has to be one of THE coolest ElCaminos I have EVER seen (minus the psychedellic paint!)
I noticed in all the photos that it has MI plates... hmmmm...

Lets bring this post back up....

Dick Fuzzy Fuerholzer send me some photos from the Darryl Starbird workshop of the Little Coffin restoration. The car will be restored back to its 1964 Version.... Coooooool!

Thanks Rik, one of my all-time favorite threads!

I still want to know if the ultimus is still around though...

  11. My fave is still the Pink Panthermobile - I'd love to get my hands on the footage from the opening sequence of the cartoon series where the car pulls up to what I think is the Grauman's Chinese Theater in Hollywood with a kid behind the wheel and the cartoon Panther and Inspector get out and walk the red carpet - very cool. Anyone have it or know if it's on YouTube or something?

    Steve

PS - heard the real car's up for auction July 12th - between watching Hard Shine and the auction, I'm gonna be busy!!!:D

Wait, so it's going on the block? Sucks, I'll never get to see it again....damn!

  14. That's what I hear - I believe it's scheduled for an eBay debut on the 12th of July - also says the car is in London, England - if so, how many did they make if you know of one in Florida? I had heard there was only one but ...

the picture that "mikes51" posted is actually the pre lil' coffin. It was before starbird and the owner got bored with it and turned it into what we know as the "lil' coffin"
