60'-70's Vintage Oval Track Modifieds

I like the stance and look of that #67 coupe too.

Look at the cars in the background. That's a current pic, not old. I have no information about it.

My preference is for uncut window openings, but that was the way is was done "back in the day".

I always liked the state abbreviation next to the car number. I think NASCAR made them do that.

Believe the #67 was Bob Krollage

Hey Bill! I forget where I read about the history of that car, but it was an original Long Island car that was last run by Bob Krollage and sold to a guy from down south (either FL or NC) who restored it and runs it with a vintage club. I'll see if I can track down the thread where I read about it.

In post #8378, I have a few questions:

#04 coupe...is that a current day car (and if so, who owns it / where is it located) or is that picture from "back in the day" (and if yes, who was driving & in what era)?

At the bottom of the same post, there's a car (Pinto?) spinning. Does anyone recognize the cool turquoise coupe going by on the outside?

The 04 coupe is Old pic It was owned by Ralph Solhem,I'll ask him who might have been in it , I've seen Billy Greco in it ,But that guy is to Big for Billy.

The Other Coupe was the Cent sign looks like both were taken at Plainville.

 

I love this Martinsville shot, but also very sad when you think of where it's taken at.

 

I cant tell if that is my old boss Butch Morin driving the Vega modified V0? I used to bring the car into the garage when my shift was over. He took that away from me when he heard that I was fooling around with the car in the parking lot. We worked a Marion Ave Mobil in Plantsville Ct. I guess he didn't want me to hit the gas pumps but I was a better driver than they knew. I know he bought it from West St. Mobil a couple of miles from us. I played chicken with one of the guys that had a stock car at the time and I won..he immediatly told me I was F**in Nuts and how would you like to drive my stock car. At the time I was into cars ,girls and beer. Maybe I should have tried driving.
