going to put a 6 volt alt on my 48 216 ,is 33 amp big enough or should i go with 60

  2. Well you must remember, that to do the same work with half the voltage 6 instead of 12 you will need two times the ampeage. What type of load is going to be powered with this 6 volts? I think most of the pre-war cars had something like 40 amp generators and that worked fine. If your choice is just 33amp and 60 amp I would try to go with the 60.

60 amps by all means! The 33 amp will be marginal at best, especially at night!
    Bigger is always better!
