I have an Edelbrock 6 carb intake for early Pontiac V8, it's a two piece type. Can anyone tell me what to do for a water crossover at the front, so I can use a thermostat and upper radiator hose? There is a threaded hole at the front on each side of the manifold. Thanks for any help.
The cheapest (and maybe easiest) way out is to take an otherwise worthless Pontiac 2 bbl. intake and cut the water crossover off. Lots of Pontiac racers used to do that for better intake port alignment, and the ability to change intake manifolds quickly in the pits between rounds, allowing them to run the same car in more than one class.
On my DeSoto hemi I ran a remote t stat block which has 3-1/2 npt holes . I got it from PAW , I think speedway sells them also.
