I've been spending quite a bit of time making adapters to put the entire Buick hub, drum and all onto Ford spindles. I have the 59 Buick setup with the ball type bearings, and I got some sticker shock today when I found out a complete set of these bearings costs almost $300 (already had my adapters made to the ball bearing size before I found out they were so pricey). Does anybody know if the Timkens are the same size? Sure would be cheaper to convert to the Timkens. I can make new adapters if I have to, I guess, but it would be great to put the Timkens on without spending 3 or 4 more days at the lathe, lol.
