Love the cream color. As they say in the Guiness commercial .....Brilliant !!
did a lot of work last time - but it's the work you can't see - you know what I mean --but heres some stuff I did at the trunk -- I was missing all the latches for the trunk - so I took a latch out of a newer ford and welded it into a 2inch metall piece and that's very nice to hide the solenoid at last - a cover -- but this is for screw on -- hmm if you need to reach some wires or the solenoid for sure it will looks clean when side panels are mounted and the car is painted - I hope so  - --- I had to turn around the car outside - so I took some shots - this is how the biscayne looks right now
I agree. how I miss those party nights when I got 4 straight hours of sleep,my girl has the sleeping pattern of a welding machine!
wasn't really done in one day . the preperation was done a befor - and I'm going to be a real athletic, because of the latch adjustment - in the trunk - outside -in the trunk - outside - and so on
Hey Rainer, I´m glad you like them! Just wait for your door panels!! I´ve got some kind of coffeine shock after 3 cups of coffee and the rest of the Red Bulls you left here yesterday.....But at least I stayed awake, hahaha! Best wishes to Karin and little Romeo! Baumi
Nice!!!!!...........should be a very Kool Family ride..........does the wife get to use it to go shopping in!!
wow that's looking great...you've accomplished more in a couple months than a lot of people do in 6 months!
Fan-fucking-tastic! I LOVE the color on the innner fender's and mill!It all works so good together. This thing's going to be killer when done.. Tastfull detailing. Nice job man!
the 58 is at the painter in the moment - so there's time for the smaller work --disasambled the bumpers/brackets and recognized the first time the panel where the plate goes to, has two holes for some lights or whatever - the only thing I know is, I don't need em so they had to go so I filled the holes with louvers -- I know that never anybody will see that but those ugly holes are away - and I painted the rims and got my hubcaps ready
done a little more bare metal welding is done - new "fenders" for the skits - and all the regular stuff you have to do, like door handles and so on then - zinkprimer was next after grinding that "before" primer --- epoxyprimer was next ---damn - now I have to wait 7!! - 7 !!days befor I can grind that a little to go to the next step - hope the llady will be ready for paint at 01/06
You're kidding, right? The car is bitchin' regardless of bodystyle. Hell man, I want a four door, firstly because it'll be nice and convenient (and easy to justify as a family man!) and secondly to piss off all the haters! "Yep, I stripped a two-door hardtop for parts and sent it off to the crusher."
You did all this in TWO MONTHS ????? You got way more done in two months than I have in two freakin' years !!! I'm gonna go kill myself..........................
Great progres pics! I wish mine was moving along like that. Gotta love having that pit to work on the undercarrige, Huh.
I dont mind four doors all that much, infact I just bought a 58 chevy 4 door a couple months ago with a 6pin and a pg and I haveing fun with it, just 2 doors are worth alot more
Rainer, thanks for the perpetual post on your progress. Looks like you are doin' a great job. Keep it up. And DAMN!!! I wish I had a garage with a pit! Fatty...I'd rather hav...oh nevermind...it ain't worth it. Olson
Well Hell's Bells.................Rainer has the MOST beauty full Bisquit ever! I could only begin to HOPE mine looks as sexy as his! As for the four door naysayers........you say nay, I say FUCK YOU. My Bisquit has just as many doors and I wouldn't trade it in for all the tea in China. Great work Rainer!! I love it! xxx Brandy
The car is cool but I cant get over your pit in the garage. Did you have that done or was it existing.
Hmm that is kinda beat to say that, especially noticing the the guy is building it in Vienna Austria. I dunno, but I was just there last month and didn't see a plethora of 2 dr hardtops roaming around to choose from. I think this car is bitchin. Besides, this 4 door sedan I would venture to say would have no problem bringing in bucks when sold, especially being overseas + quality of build. Just my .02
