55 Thunderbird/ Power window ????

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by 50mercfan, Mar 14, 2009.

  1. I rebuilt the regulators and all is well, except, When i roll the windows up or down they will travel part of the way and stop. Wait about 15 to 20 seconds and i hear a "click" under the dash and they work again. Any way to fix this?

If you also replaced the glass run channels at the same time, you might try some spray silicone lube in the fuzzy channels. The new fuzzy runs often create a lot of drag that causes the circuit breaker to trip. If that is the case the silicone will help and it will get better the more you use it.

I agree with M S, they are in a bind. Try holding and pulling up with your hand at the same time to confirm a bind.
