Here's a few pic's still along way to go but it's a start. Just brought it home from Davey's place ( fellow roadburner ) He tweeked the front a bit hung the 9" out back and made these cool motor mounts. Thats just a set-up motor, but it's gonna run a small block chevy and a richmond 4 speed. Gary

55's just lend themselves to that look so well.....it's as though they were designed to be gassers.

    Your car looks great already!
I'd make it haul ass and not change the outside at all....except for adding light's and maybe a little something on the bare metal.:D..

O maha Wicasa' quite nice indeed. Perhaps you would care to exemplify some more intimate details for your 1955 Chevy. I myself am curious as to what color the war pony will be. I try to envision how I would like to see my 55, many visions have come to mind.

Thanks for the pics, and have a happy Wopila Wotapi.

  28. What was the 9 inch outta, i bought one recently outta an early 60 f100 that is 61.25, not much wider than the factory 59.75 but the pinion is about 2 inches off center, it has large bearing 28 splines, i could shorten it 2 inches to 59.25 and upgrade to 31 axles, but if you know the secret on something pinoin centered and already big bearing 31 spline let me know, it would probably be cheaper than cutting one and buying new axles.

Mine is a 59 ford wagon , not pinion centered however and i think it is aobut 55 overall total but even up around 62 inch works well we did a 62 inch olds in the other 55 at the shop and it looks perfect with 10's in the back with 4 ich back space and firestone slicks 10.0x15s are you cuting the wheel wells or trying to keep them in the wheel well?
