^^^^^^^^^VERY Nice integration of the OE Trans Am rails to the Buick chassis!! Far superior to the usual 'blunt cut off and graft on' typically seen with clips.
May 2019 and I still haven't gotten around to working on her♂️...did pick up a 66 Electra for the 401/ST400 and rear end to swap into it.
My 55 has been sitting on the hoist in my garage for 3 years. I finally finished a kitchen redo so now my wife cant bitch about me working on the car. I've spent the last two weeks wrenching on my 55. Rebuilt the front suspension, disc brakes , 2" dropped springs, new shocks. New dual MC with electric booster in original location. New 2" dropped springs in back. Check out the wedges in the original springs to limit the sag. I bet they are from the 1970s, hard as a rock!! Just wrapping up new brake lines this week. Still have to change the brake pedal ratio to handle the manual to power brakes. Plan to finally have her on the road this weekend!!! Its been a long time coming...
Saw a 55 Buick Special for sale that had a 401 Nailhead, 700R4 transmission and was a nice running driving car. Don't forget the rear end also needs to be converted to open drive .
