Alright I'm swapping the tired original 235 for a rebuilt 261, everything is loose and ready to be pulled, the only thing holding me back is dipstick tube on the transmission.

I see it's into a piece that is bolted on the side, does the tube pull out or do I have to unbolt and take the entire piece off with the tube? If the tube is supposed to pull out it's in there real tight.

Also while I have it out, it leaks, there are ten million drain plugs on these and a bunch of them are leaking, is it ok to use teflon tape on these or should I just get new ones and crank them down more?
