54 Chevy 210 driveshaft help needed

    54 Chevy 210, factory 235 w/std shift. I'm changing closed drive over to 70-81 Camaro rearend, what, if anything, is need to add to back of tranny to except the different style driveshaft.

    Have to get a new tranny. There are addapters out there to put about anything behind that old 6. I'm putting a T5 behind mine.

    use an s10 t5, newer bellhousing, 70s malibu/cutlass driveshaft and the open drive rearend. I got one made to fit for $200, lifetime guarantee.

    this has been covered in depth many times, here and on inliners.org

    Guess I will leave it alone and run the closed sytem till it just gives up, then update motor/tranny/rearend at the same time. I don't really like the six well enough to spend the money to change the tranny and keep it. Thanks for the info
