Frank, You have accomplished an amazing build. Now drive it like you stole it, wear out the tires and drive train, then show us a awesome rebuild in a few years!

Had a great time reading this entire thread. To each their own on the windows... I love every other choice for the build. I can't believe the cost, but glad you did it. What a great project. -Rich

Amazing, Frank! Absolutely fantastic. And an huge inspiration! Your attention to detail is just unbelievable. LOVE it! I just finished reading through the entire thread from start to finish, after a friend told me about it earlier today.

Thanks for doing such an awesome job not only on your project itself, but also on documenting every step along the way. It will be a big help to many I'm sure, myself definitely included. Heartfelt congratulations to you! Enjoy your beautiful truck...

frank, please post your process for raising the bed floor. I'm going to have to raise mine to be able to fit my fuel tank underneath. Thanks again for a great build and great documentation.

I believe those who seem disappointed have never really compared the cabs. The "custom" title creates a halo. It did for me at a young age. Three windows, regardless of a slight visibility issue, will always be my choice.

Frank, No big rush for the pics of how you raised the bed, I'm subscribed to your site and check in most every day.

:) No problem Malcom, here the pics.

I started buying profiles folded to size to add it to the bedsides.
They were stuck together creating a solid rectangle.
This has been fixed on the bedsides using existing holes on the prewelded strips.

On the front and rear crossmembers boobies I fixed this without creating new holes but using the existing ones.

I hope you can understand from the photos, otherwise I can make new photos

Wow, that's an amazing build and an amazing truck. Just read through all 43 pages start to finish. Want to see the tri power go on as well. I also like it with the 3 windows, it is a much cleaner look. Good job!

My daughter helps me in the garage as well but she likes to use her hammer too much so I have to keep her working on her little pedal cars

Frank, Thanks for the pics of the bed floor. I have been thinking about how I would accomplish raising the floor, engineering in my mind so to speak. What you did is almost exactly what is in my head, seeing your execution of the project confirms that it works. One question, how do you latch it to stay down?

    Ciao Malcom,

I'll try to go into detail and I apologize for my English :).

I stuck to the plan of the bed using this system but you could have done differently

I put a strip of wood to prevent rubbing iron against iron

I took an extension wrench with 1/4" and I threaded one end, and as you can see in the picture I put 2 nuts to adjust the hardness of the closure.
initially was too slow and while driving the floor heaved. I tightened the nuts and now it's perfect :)

Frank, Thanks for the pics of the latch system, very ingenius! The wood strips to prevent metal to metal was a real inspired idea also. Looks like I've found the way my bed floor will be raised and secured. Thanks a ton for your work and ideas.
