Projects 53 Buick laminated front glass

Hi all. My name is Hendrik and I reside in South Africa. I have a 1953 Buick Roadmaster. Does anyone know where I can find/purchase a 53 Buick laminated front glass and more or less pricing on it. The one I have is still the original tempered glass. I'm getting ready to chop the top of mine. Any help would be much appreciated.

 

Stock glass was laminated not tempered.

 

Hi BJR. Thank you very much. I was told here in SA that it was tempered and not laminated. It will be safe then to cut the glass to fit?

I don't know that you can cut Tempered Glass. Whenever I try it ends up in a MILLION little squares all over the floor.

 

Nothing wrong with that, if what you were wanting is a million little squares.

 

Lexan and not too much risk, bend it with a cutting torch big flame about a foot away from the plastic don't pull the cutting lever.
