    Understood...
Being fluent in can bus and 5v reference signals on a daily basis,
Putting off recertification of my L1 status ,
Its hard to resist those mods.

Achieving near perfect drivability with oldscool tech is paramount
And challenging .thats why im here on the hamb.
    Cheers

  2. Looks killer dude!

    I'm guessing the 4.45 was from a 46 to 48 buick.

    Got another rearend on monday,
    3.60 from a 53 special.
    Thanks to mitchkustom... again!

Managed to get the center section swapped in this week.

A couple test runs proved it
made a positive change in the drivability overall the 3.6 was a good choice
Lucked out too, no whining or grinding.
I even had the right speedo drive to match in my pile of junk.

3.23 would be too tall at this point. But would be perfect after
    Some engine mods.

Heres a couple of pics of the pigs
Subtle differences between the two gearsets But cases are identical.
I didnt pull the drive shafts
They are pressed on. Besides someone thought brazing the rollpin in would be a good idea on the 445.

Thanks to all for the advice and support

    Good enough.
    12 o'clock = 0 rpm
    4 = 4000

Wow! I remember you starting on this but hadnt seen it yet. Looks good, any plans for making it lower or skirts or anything? Looks great already, thats just the usual drill........not mandatory if you are looking to be a little different in that respect.

Thanks to all for the kind words.
It was very exciting to get it out to a couple local cruises.

    Still far from done...

    Thanks.
    I definitely will go lower.
    Never gonna bag it though.
I dig the motorboat stance for right now.
Keeps the driveability up. Roads are rough around here.
I had it much lower for a while and it rode like crap and handled worse.

    Skirts are in the works.
    I have made two sets.
    Flush mounts and full cruiser.

They go on and off at home.
Just dont like the look without mouldings.
Early olds 51/53 trim has been on
My list for a long time.
The full cruisers are scooped in front to allow 58 caddy quarter trim.
Which I've had for 8 years.

Moving this summer so not much will change till the winter.

    Inspired by barris...

Looking great Shane, but man that is a tight squeeze. Do you crawl out the window after you park?
