I have been way too busy to do the math.

The Carburetor Shop began operating in 1974; that makes 2023 our 50th year of continuous operation.

I would like to thank all who have helped us achieve this milestone! :D

Congratulations but if you started in 74 wouldn’t that be 49 years. The only reason I’m saying this is I was born in 74 and I’m only going to be 49 this year

  4. What a great milestone! A business’ success is usually a good indication of quality ownership and a work culture that comes from their personal beliefs that are instilled in the employees.
    CONGRATULATIONS!

By celebrating this year, I actually get to celebrate twice. This year is our 50th year in business. Next year we will have completed 50 years.

Retirement doesn't look inviting. Think of those fish fins sticking in one's hand, or the barbs on fishhooks; ugh. And travel, think of all the standing in lines for this, that and something else. Of course, there is always collecting; I tried collecting portraits of dead presidents in green frames, but they simply would not stay in my collection. Restless, I guess.

Actually, the job is quite satisfying. Yesterday completed a small run of accelerator pumps for Duesenbergs. Tomorrow, will be making fuel valves for Pierce Arrow V-12's. Where else can one have that kind of enjoyment?

  12. Where else can you find somebody that still does what you do??? Dying breed for sure, and my dead president collection is all George Washington photos lol

  18. Congratulations on your milestone! It is a testament to your technical and business skills, as well as confirmation of your work quality and honesty. IIRC this was a business founder by your Father, which speaks volumes about his dedication to the business, as well as yours.
You are a great asset to this site and the automotive world in general and it's obvious that your ethical treatment of customers shines through!
You are to be commended, sir!
