Projects 50 Chevy Deluxe on the road now..

    Thanks for all the technical info guys.. My car had been sitting since 1985. Brakes stuck motor stuck but fairly solid body for eastern NC. Just filled the engine with diesel an got it free.. Put all new brake lines fuel lines rebuilt all brakes fanned a dual pot master cylinder under floor new fuel pump water pump stepped lower control arms fabbed blocks for rear did put disk on front.. Took to first cruise in last night..

    Thanks.. Everyone said the 216 wouldn't keep up with traffic but I have been running with traffic fine .. Most of my driving is on rural 2 lane roads.. Prob just put some 3.55 power glide gears in the rear an call it good..

  8. I like those 50's Chevy's. Always remember my uncle Ken and family had one.
    Looks like a somewhat unmolested original car?
    What are your plans?

    Still need to find a piece of belt line trim replace driver window .. An maybe make some new door panels an get seats recovered this winter..I did a full blown resto mod 53 Chevy truck already just wanted something I could drive in the rain or leave in parking lots without worry.. Warning truck may not be hamb friendly ..
