Technical 50-52 Plymouth frame - 2dr vs. 4dr?

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by don-vee, Oct 9, 2015.

  1. Ok, pretty straightforward question here:
I have a 1952 Plymouth 2dr club coupe (not the 2-seater business coupe) with a very good frame (with plenty of mods and set up for a V8) but the body is so-so.
I also have a 1950 Plymouth 4dr sedan with a really nice body, but the frame is not too good. Plus, it's a 4-door. Bleh.
So, my plan is to swap things around - '50 4-door onto the '52 frame.
    My questions:
Are the frames the same? They have the same wheelbase.
Are the basic bodies the same, as far as converting the 4dr body to a 2dr? I plan on chopping the roof anyway, so I'm not too concerned with the roofline. I'm just hoping I can use the B-pillar and jamb from the 2dr on the 4dr.

My service manual says club coupe and 4 door frames are the same.
