Well I've been trying to get a little work done on the merc here latelyI decided to re-do some of the chop that was on the car when I got it.I love the chop, but was trying to clean it up a bit,on the rear.Next up,Gambino taildragger kit Thanks slddnmatt for all the reference pics, and info!!!
Dang I love a clean merc. Wish I had one.. This is looking good. Keep the pictures coming. I have this need.
A big thank you for not pulling the back glass forward, and leaving the belt-line mouldings, and the list goes on and on.
Thanks guys,I've got a LOT of welding left, but I can see the end resultLooks like we're gonna get a load of snow at the end of the week, maybe I can get some more done!!
lookin good!!!! its nice when you get all the filler pieces in... it sucks when you realize you have to weld it all up!! if ya need anything just let me know
Looking good man, once you get all those welds done and ground down, it's really gonna take shape and you'll be a 1000 more times stoked.........Keep it up!!
Thanks Ian,I've got the drivers side all welded, and ground(no pics)Hopefully I can get the pass side done by this weekend.I can't stop thinkin about this thing 24-7
Cool man, post pics when you're done... We ALL love update pics!!! Thinkin about it 24/7 is definitely a great thing!!
Thanks guys, but I can't take credit for the chop.I'm just messin with it a littleCaddy-O, here on the HAMB,with one of his buddies did the chop.I knew I had to have it the moment I saw the car for sale here on the classifieds.
Luk'n way too Kool Dustin, you're sure getting after it. Kan't wait to have another Merc Kruzin around town. Happy Trails, Mick
Can't wait to see it finished... great idea on extending the metal in front of the window frame...it flows a lot better now.
It's about time you got some work done and put up some pics. I was starting to think I was going to have to drive down there just to see it. It looks bad ass. good job!! See ya
I don't know how the chop looks from the side but I am questioning the angle of the area right below the window. On mine, I put in some relief cuts out from the edge of the window. On yours, the bottom edge of the window down to the line ahead of the trunk is where I would take a look. Tough for me to explain so I will attach a couple pictures. If yours look good the way it is, great. I just thought I would point out what I found with mine and was helped out with other pictures I found here on the HAMB. Neal
LOOKIN good your going to have to come help me now. Hope your serviving the snow. We had 8". I guess no work getting done on my merc this weekend.
Love your merc Neal.I totally get what your saying. Its kind of hard to see from my pics, but my beltline gradually fades off on the sides.I'll post some better pics when I get it all welded up,and grinded down. Jeff, you and Tony need to come down, and visit!!! I'll even let you steal some more parts off my olds
Your car looks so good done like that. The chop looked good before, but now better proportions. It flows like was said earlier.
Hummph, who would want one of those?!?!! Lol lookin good man! Can't wait to see it in person! Oh, and leave them Old's fenders alone!!! ; ) Lol!
