Can I sneek in a 53? Never see any 53-54 mopars. All of these cars so far are kickass. Here's my 53 Meadowbrook.
Mine is a '51, but here's a newer in progress picture of the chop. I don't get to work in the garage much, been working on this since Memorial Day weekend. 3 1/2" vertical drop (about 4" out of the front and 4.25" out of the rear), slid the top forward, took out a .75" wedge out of the back of the original top above the quarter windows, grafted in a '40 Ford rear window (would prefer Mopar, but use what you can get). Please excuse the wife's "parking aid". Don't want her running into my lawn mower.
I've said it before, but it's worth saying again...that is my favorite wagon on teh entire planet. If you ever decide to sell it, you know how to reach me.
I just started work on a '50 Plymouth 2 dr C-dan. Thanks for the inspiration. Y'all have done some amazing work. After I get it running, someday maybe I'll chop it. I'm looking for more of a lead-sled kind of style---no chrome, and satin paint. Going to go w/ a very simple grill. Maybe just mesh and a framed hole. Anyways, thanks. Joe
I checked out your other pics, great build. You may want to check your scrub line with those 3 in blocks and the 13 inchers. I sure hope you never have a blow out.
Yes, that is my bro's old car Johnny Custom from the Emperors car club (San Berdoo/Victorville area) It started as a '51 fastback plymouth that he bought for like $800.I watched the whole transformation of that thing. It was pretty amazing. He never finished it and sold it about a year ago. One of the only plymouths I really liked
Dude that's sweet, I agree with the flathead quote, I,ve never had any problem with my '49 and am now building a '54 Plaza Wagon and am not yankin that flathead either. "ever get that ride out east(IE/OC) I,d luv to get a closer look!
