Looking for pics of rodded or custom 49-50 Dodge, Plymouth, Chrysler cars. 2 doors or 4 doors. My 15 year old son has the hots for a '50 4dr Dodge sedan a HAMBer has and I want to give him some ideas of what we can do with it. I've done some searches and found a few threads, but I know I've seen more pics on here than what I'm finding. Thanks

Mine isn't really a "custom", but here's some food for though if the Dodge still has the six.

    Sweet!
Unfortunately the engine is long gone from this project so we are trying to decide if we should hunt a replacement or go with a v8. He's leaning towards the V8 which is ok by me, but those flathead sixes are way cool...

Very nice. How much did you pull out of the top? It looks just right.

Casey (my son) has just about decided he wants to convert it to a convertible and build a carson top. This pic I took at Pamona tripped his trigger and pretty much made up his mind for him. It's been quite a few years since I've built a carson top, so I may have to dust off the old brain a bit if we go that route.

I love the boxy Mopars, the '50 model year is definitely the best of the bunch, with the Dodges leading style-wise for me. I would love a '50 Dodge sedan (yeah, with four doors and everything) done like Blueskies's Plymouth.

I'm not a fan of carson tops, personally, but to each their own.

Beautiful car. Is she a stocker? Shouldn't a '49 Plymouth have ribbed bumpers? My favorite feature on the '49s is definitely those taillights.

Yes. You are correct. A 49 Plymouth has the "Triple Ripple" bumpers. This is a 1949 DODGE. They had smooth bumpers. Yes it is a stocker. Flat 6 Fluid Drive. Thinking about selling it if anyone is interested.

Oops! Guess I could have read the hubcaps. I always had a preference for the Dodges, but I'm so hung up on the '50s, I didn't notice.
