49-50 Ford column question

Can anyone tell me where the horn wire comes out of the column on a 49 or 50 Ford? I'm going to do some work on a car for a guy and I think the wire was cut off and I don't see a hole anywhere. The firewall has had some patching where the column comes through.

 

id check the the bottom of the column/gearbox it usually comes out there

 

It runs from the top all the way down the steering shaft & out the end of the steering box.

Thanks a lot. I just went and felt around and sure enough it comes out the end of the box.
