48 stylemaster springs,cut`n and what to expect

    [​IMG] Well found out the king pins are shot on my 48,so while thats all apart.I was able to take the springs out-time for some cutting,as you an see the bottom coil almost touches the second,what can I expect when cutting one coil,or two.The knee action shocks work great,so no worrie there.thanks for your time.I also have some rubber that goes arround the top spring.like a boot(left over from e newer mustang),would that be worth putting on.maybe it could act as a bushing? Thanks for your info

    cut one coil with a cutoff wheel and you'll be safe...probably go down a couple inches... looks like there are some spring spacers in those coils already...maybe just remove them and you may get down a bit more...another choice on those early lower A arms is to cut the rivets and drop the lower spring seat with spacers and keep a longer coil for more ride.

    yea it had two spacers up top,thanks for the response and info :)
