    hey guys

here is the latest project I have been working on. I traded my ford shop truck to a buddy for this unfiinished project. It's been bagged and almost lays out on the rockers and it has a S10 front sub. I was torn on what to do with it because the paint that was done was real nice but the problem was it was only half painted so.... I removed al the stock chrome, I welded up the 2 piece hood, wedge cut it 4" and than punched a bunch of louvers in it,narrowed up the stock grill and moved it back a couple inchs, took all the side stainless trim off and made my own aluminum trim that goes on the lower front and rear fenders. I made a rolled pan for the rear and moved the taillights down into the pan. I tried 3 times to paint it with Hot Rod Flatz and I can not get the tiger strips out of it so tomorrow morning we are tring one more time. More to come

Forget the flat and put shiny on it...every KUSTOM should be shiny...john should have told you that...!!!

we tried the purple twice with the same results as the countless times before so I baled on the purple flat and went with Sherwin Williams base and matte clear and the trick for the clear is 4 parts matte 1 part gloss 1 part hardner and it is the perfect matte..no strips with a even matte finish.

    V. nice. Good inspiration for my Aerosedan. Might you have pix of the hood before you applied filler? I'm curious where you made the cut lines, especially at the nose. Also, did you remove the inner brace at the rear or leave it in place the whole time? Many thanks in advance.

    Cheers -- Gary

Aerosedan is my dream cruiser! I have a big nail head I'm saving for something like that. Nice touch on the grill.
