'42 ford truck part numbers needed....

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by Zapato, Apr 9, 2013.

  1. Looking for part numbers and/or sources for all the brake hoses, and an easily swapped in dual chamber master cylinder for the same truck.

As far as the master cylinder you can use the little trianglular adaptor that goes from the early Ford 3 bolt to later 2 bolt that damn near anybody sells. I would then go with a '74 Maverick drum/drum master cylinder. That has the residual check valves built in, so you shouldn't need any aftermarket externals. As far as hoses and stuff, hit your local REAL parts store if you have one, or NAPA. I have bought all the hoses I've needed from my local standard parts shop AJS here in Phoenix. They might have to order tham but they do list them and can get them.
