  1. You are really making some progress-Looks great!

  2. I've always liked '42 to '48 Fords and started a photo collection of them about 7 years ago. Needs an update to add more recent photos, but still there are a fair number here. Hot rods, street rods, wild customs, and mild ones too. There are a few strays: Mercs, a Volvo, and '41' there too. Here is a link to it:

...and a couple shots from the album too:

My Brother got stuck with this 48 in a trade gone wrong,He is battling terminal Cancer ,so I have taken on the project, trying to correct the many mechanical sins in the car, whoever did the Bodywork did a good job, whoever did the mechanical part screwed up everything he or she touched, but it is coming along ,harder to redo things than to do them right the first time.

  30. When I first started this thread I was sure I was going with a Hot Rod theme for my 46 business coupe. Well things have changed and it's going to be a late 40's early 50's tail dragger custom. I have already bought skirts and 49 plymouth bumpers for it. It might get a 47 olds grill too, but I'm unsure. I do have a really nice rust free stock grill for it now. Plans call for Kustom Kraft or real Appleton spots. Basically lowred 5-6" in rear about 1-1.5" front, nosed, decked, slight shave, molded fenders, tail lights, possibly frenched head lights. To get the 5-6" lower in the rear I am c notching the frame. I am retaining the original 3spd, now on the column again, and banjo rear as well as steering and brakes. I did update the front brakes with some from a 53 F100 pick up. It's running the 53 flathead I rebuilt last year thats getting offy heads, Max 1 cam and offy 2 pot intake. My build is going to be very period correct. Just thought I would let everyone what I was doing. Also if anyone has anymore pics of the 41-48 fords/mercs as Customs or Hot Rods lets see 'em.
    Matt
