I agree. IMHO mags and skirts don't go together, nor does the low in front higher in rear go with skirts.

102_2930.JPG 102_2931.JPG 102_2914.JPG Nice to see some 40's Ford hot rods. I'm not new to the site and have posted a couple of times, but now feel it is time to jump in. As introduction, I'm fully retired and now spend most of my time working on my toys. My avatar is my latest...and I'm finishing it up now. 1947 Ford Deluxe full touring hot rod...exterior is all old school (late 50's-early 60's, nosed, decked, frenched, louvers, dumps, torque thrusts). Late model under the skin...need safety and comfort when wife and I travel. Mods include: BBC, 700R4, Ford 9", Chassis Engineering front to back, PS, PB, AC. Would love to see more of these 'hot rod Fords' of the 40's...Ed

  7. My 47. Only owned it for a year. Sold it in 2007. Here's a shot of it when I was on my way to the Jalopy Showdown in 2007. On the shoulder of I-83 waiting to meet up with Mike Szuba and his son.

  8. The day I sold it. Leaving Baltimore and headed to Georgia. Wish I could have kept it. My $ was runin' low at the time, plus I was in an apartment and recently sold my house with garage.

Great Thread . I better get off my ass & get to work on my 46 sedan delivery. It needs a body of rebuild but is a very solid car to start with. It used to be a Kenz & Leslie shop car. Im collecting parts & have a 53 Merc flathead with a 3 speed o/d trans. Or do I go modern drive train ? Oh the possibilities ???

  11. My old 41 tudor sedan daily driver. Had a warmed up flathead. Wouldn't call it a hot rod, but it aint stock either

Love these years of cars. Maybe I'll find the one I'm looking for one day.

  20. Can anyone show me the other half of this Windshield support from my 46 Convertible and also the total length of this support, If I know what it looks like and how long it is then maybe I can make the other half. Thanks in advance Bill

  26. Maybe more custom, than hot rod, but some fresh air for a long running thread. CAD916AA-7059-4B0B-B886-DD000817534C.jpeg

Man, where is Jim Bouchard? His car is definitely a hot rod.
