I’m working on a 1947 Mercury Convertible and I’m ready to install the windshield. Can someone tell me if the convertible has a different center division bar than a closed roof car or will this one work? I do have a brass bar that came with some parts I picked up and I believe to be for the car but I'm unsure of what parts to use.

    Thanks,

    Jeff

On my 41 ford conv the mirror is mounted about one third of the way down the bar. Closed car mirrors were mounted to the op header. This was to lower the mirror so you could see out of the rear window which is much lower and smaller on the conv.
Had problems finding trim to cover gaps at top and bottom of windshield mounding.
