I bought these valve covers online a long time ago, I didn't have a clue what I was going to do with them I just thought they were the best looking no name covers I've ever seen. They were natural finish with sanded fins. I ended up using them on my ot 54 engine. Well...Ive got a customer building a '61 with a 409 and I'd love to find a pair for his car. I CAN'T remember where the hell I got them ! I've never seen a no name with the fins wrapping around the front and rear since ! I only paid $200 or so. I probably bought them 10 yrs ago> I think they were from a company in California called Cal Custom because I remembered the name from my childhood. Anybody have any input ?

edit: On further investigation I don't think they are Moon. Moon has 11 fins..

They look like the Moon rocker covers that I had on my 409.
    Big, heavy, tall fins...very cool.

  10. Just because you ask a price doesn't mean anyone else will give it to you.

Thats so true 56don but there is always that wall street, investment, "you know how much that's worth" gold chainer that will pay it because his friend says they are rare.

I think the seller is just trying to show them off!... If he sells them, good for him! I'd be happy with a set from the scrap yard.... :)

They have several attributes of the Offenhauser covers, other than the Offenhauser name, of course. I wonder if Offy ever made covers without their name on them?
