    Hi All,
I need a little advice on my ‘39 ford, stock transmission and rear end. I would like to convert it to an open drive shaft but unsure on a few things. Questions #1. How are the rear radius rods mounted ? #2. The hook-up between the drive shaft and the transmission.
Any input an/or photo’s would be helpful.
    Thank you, Hot LZ

I'm gonna ask why? Are planning on using the stock trans and rearend still? If no, which are you changing out?

You could use early F-1 pickup parts to convert the trans and rearend to open driveshaft. Find somebody parting out one of those trucks and save yourself hundreds of dollars. I once bought one for $50 and saved MANY ($$$$) chassis parts, and made more than $50 back at the steel recyclers for the rusted and bent sheetmetal.
