38 Chevy Pickup tailgate question

Are the tailgates on a 1/2 ton Chevy pickup flat with NO name on them, or do they have Chevrolet debossed in the metal?

The one I had was plain, no markings or logos at all.

 

1938 was plain. 1939 tailgates have Chevrolet script on them.

 

Thanks for the responses. Mine is plain and and i have seen some in this era that were stamped. Possibly a 39 though.
