if you'll look closely at your doors the door glass and the vent window aren't on the same plane. The vent window turns in somewhat. Because of this some serious metal work has to be done to the top of the door to fill in the gap that would be created on the outside of the glass when using a one piece glass. Oposite problem with the inside of the door. I went through the same senario when rebuilding my 38 coupe. I did talk to one guy that put a one piece glass in his 38 and he said 'never again'. I ended up putting new w'strip in the vent window frame and siliconing the window shut since my operators were worn out. Cut down on the wind noise and I dont miss the vent window since I have AC.
