Technical 37 Chevy truck fender to cab??

I’m mocking this 37 up and am confused on the front fender to cowl fit. Big gap. Looks like something was attached to edge of fender. Weatherstrip? Something that fills this gap?? Help!!

I never could get mine to fit properly and ended up modifying the fender to follow the shape of the cab better. It seemed like a huge gap to fill with anything and of course I hadn't even thought about taking a picture when I disassembled it to see how it was suppose to go.

 

That’s what I’m hoping I don’t have to do!

 

Mine looked about the same and I saw no other way to make it look decent.

 

Is there a weatherstrip that goes on the fender?
