Technical '37-40 Ford seat question.

Hey. Are 1937-1940 Ford Tudor rear seats interchangeable? Thanks!!!

Thanks Verde. I might buy one from a '37 for my '40 until I come across the right seat locally. As long as the dimensions are close.

 

I'd go with a Glide seat, stay away from Wiseguys

 

The 40 is different from all the others. Pretty sure they will all bolt into the same holes on the floor though.

 

I think he is talking about the rear seat.. 38 deluxe and 39/40 all share the same body shell in the sedan.. The 37 rear seat may be a little different but probably will be close...

 

Oops, you are right, he does say REAR seat. Too bad I didn't see this thread last fall as I passed on a smokin deal for a 40 rear seat. I bought the front though.

Again, I've never compared, but I would think the rear seats are totally interchangeable for the years/models like ScrapMetal48 said above.

New Seat springs are available from Macs. Very expensive though and some upholstery shops would rather build a seat from scratch.
