i really like these original cars.....this one was just right for me!
put better brakes, 283, drop it a few inches & drive it!

 

this is mike cole's 40 PU, first trip out for this super nice truck. mike and son bob of "Cole Automotive" in Long Beach Ca put this basket case together. Has a very nice '60's look to it, lots of people around it all day......

HATE! that I missed this show. I usually get there a Rooster30 and sit on the wall and get all the cars as they pull in.

this 40 Pu went in a different direction than Cole's PU, it is different but i like it, it's put together very nice!

It looks much better with the hood on it. He ran around without it for a while. Not a fan of the motorcycle parts. Sure draws the attention though...

 

the owner of this AWESOME 40 Coupe bought it back in early '50s, it was orange when he got it, he wanted a black coupe so he bought 4 gallons of dupont black lacquer @ $4.00 a gallon, he only used 5 qt's for the paint job, move the clock up to 2010, he stripped all the paint off everything and painted it again with some of that same black lacquer that was left over from the 50's. Hot Rod magazine did an article about this coupe in Sept 1959. GREAT STORY HERE! the coupe is REALLY NICE and the owner is a GREAT GUY also!!
