Not much to report, been working on a lot of the unseen things to make the 36 a driver.
The Hood alignment has been giving me a fit but it's starting to come together:

 

The front sheet-metal alignment is always a nightmare for us '36 owners. If you haven't already, look for a couple
of the threads on the Ford Barn re proper sequence in mounting the panels. (Let me know if you can't find them;
I may have them stashed in my archives)

Caddy and Brigrat; check out his link and see posts #18 and 30. They break
the sequence down step by step. Good pics as well....

 

similar to how I did mine, I have had difference pieces of the front off for a few reasons and fit is always an issue....some fit funny from Ford.

I used smaller bolts in the front for the grille and grille extensions to get some movement...

 

Nice reference. I Used the sequence posted and it worked like a charm. Everything is lined up.
Still need to work a few dents on the hood to get it tweeked a little more.

A few updates..
I almost hesitate in lieu of all the amazing 35- 36 build threads that are being posted on the HAMB these days. For now, this will be pretty boring to most because my priority is solely to get the car road worthy for The Roundup in April, so there's probably not going to be a lot of frills with the build for a while.

I'm in the process now of getting the glass installed. I have garnish molding from a 4 door car that I'm working with.
While it is pretty close, I am having to modify a lot of those pieces:

 

Since my car did not come with a seat, I had to find an alternative.
I had a 3rd row seat from an early 90's suburban sitting in my garage, so I thought I would give it a try.
Turned out to be a perfect fit. Plans are to have it re-covered with a period cloth:

 

Sides of the seat frame.

 

Also made some fire wall to radiator supports from 1/4 rolled steel.
Just had to thread both ends:

 

I needed a driver's side door pull... so I used the piece from a 2 door sedan parts car.
While it has the same general shape to it... it's a few inches longer than the coupe.
Cut a section out and welded it back together:

 

We love updates! How bout a pic of the seat with the door open? Folds forward too right?

 

The seat does actually fold forward..
I'm in the process of building side panels to cover the void under the seat

 

Also decided to go back with the original tail lights, the chevrons were not doing it for me:

 

Good choice. Like the seat.

 

Instead of the 40 wheel I went back to the original plan of running a 42 Deluxe wheel:

 

Making some damn fine progress. Can't wait to check it out at roundup!

What's the length on the rods? I'm fixing to make some rods myself for my test fitting.

 

The rods are 32 3/4" ... with the aftermarket radiator I'm running.
I just set the radiator and measured out from the firewall to get the length.

 

Might as well update the thread while I'm at it.
Made some side panels to fill the void on the seat frame.
And, have most of the wiring done.

 

Any pictures of how you modified the 4door garnish moldings to fit the 5 window?
