chrisp.......fantastic job so far........I'm sure the customer didn't have this in mind when he bought it...... Paco
That's the most beautiful '35 I've ever seen and it's not even painted yet. But it seems like the owner should have bought a Packard - he thinks every part is a packard part! This is going to blow everyone away when it's done. Did you end up using the aluminum trunk lid? I didn't think you could use dis-similar metals together. Well, here's another thread I'll have to subscribe to...
Yes I used the Bentley hood skin for the trunk, since the inner structure is alluminum too there won't be any electrolysis problem. For Brootal I used the bead roller and shrinker/stretcher to make that trunk structure. Romain thank you, but please change that avatar you got a much nicer car now.
Well done in undertaking the job in that fashion , others would of patched the hell out of it and i really like the rear ext. really cool touch.
Finaly! the car is updated i was always checking out what you have done but the last months i didtn see any updates.. its a great car please keep on writing about it... people please help! i have a chevrolet 3100 pickup i have use a 1978 frontclip from a monte carlo now i want to use from a 1987 caprice the coil springs is that posibole and how can i assemble the coil springs is there a easy way to do that?... Greetings Bigtumtum
For the 4th time, I'm gonna try to post, we'll see how it goes... First, the hood sides, started from scratch but with the stock '35 louvers Yep, I'm a little bit obsessed with the gaps... Then the door, the skin made from scratch (a team effort of Troy and I) the trunk was finished too There is still plenty of small stuff to do, especially dents to fix, I f...ing hate that big one in the middle of the rear fender. Within the next 2 month the car should go to paint, finally after 2 years. The only thing I hate about this car is that it's not mine.
Wow! I have been watching this since you first posted the build. That grille really suits the car, nice chop too.
I said before and I'll say it again,I wish I just had a 10th or your talent,It is amazing to see the work you have done on that car, just incredible.

Post an introduction in the intro forum, and then start a thread of your own - you will get an answer that way. Where in Germany are you?
If the rest of the car is finished at the level of the metalwork, it oughta get the Ridler. Awesome job! ~Scotch~
Final assembly before tearing it all up for powder coating and undercoating. The car is not metal finished, I'm not that good, I can get close though but it is time and time is money, money that the customer don't have, he already exploded his budget to get the car of his dream and his budget can get stretch so much.
Absolutely incredible! "This car is not metal finished" he says. I would guess most body guys would love to get a car in that kind of shape. Cannot wait to see this done. It's a shame that there will be no more updates. Make sure you share your next projext with us!!!
Crisp I have been watching this car from the very start and this tie's with Cole Foster's build in my book. I have been saving every pic you post and when I get started on my coupe will be pulling some of your work you have done on this car into mine. If my car turns out half as good as this one I will be able to die a happy man. thank you so much for all the updates that you have been doing on this build. Hopefully we can meet in person I have list as long as your arm of questions. Just plain breath taking. do you know the color as of yet and interior?
