Even though many are not Jay Leno Fans and his new weekly episodes on cars(Jays Lenos Garage) His weekly episodes involve a lot of hot rods and very old cars , even a bit of tech info which is along my line. This involves the ROADTER CAR CLUB,one of the oldest . You guys in California have to know what I'm talking about ?? Gene in Mn

That car belongs to an old friend of mine, Bob Barnes. Leno contacted John Buck to find a long term member of the L A Roadsters, has owned the car for many years, Built it himself, and could be a good story teller. Bobby fit ALL the parameters. He told me that it was one of the top ten things he has done in his life! One thing Bob told me was that after about 20 minutes driving the car, Jay pulled over and told the camera crew to head back because he and Bob were going to take a short cruise around Burbank. Well, they took over a half hour more driving around Burbank as two hot rodders having fun enjoying the ride and each other's company, swapping lies and telling tall tails all the while. They were gone long enough that the camera crew was thinking about hunting them down, figuring something broke. If you want to see the entire clip, go to bangshift.com and scroll down to 3 or 4 days ago. Bob and his car were perfect for that interview.
