Has anyone done it? Any build thread, pics?

Would it be ok, if it has lengthened frame with rear kickup and body virtually has no floor anyway, everything is rusted away.

  2. doesn't sound like a good idea to me

Oh dear why would you? As much as I like shorter wheel bases the lack of inches on that configuration might make it look broke.

Me either. Model A frames aren't very desirable (or strong)

you would be better off building your own frame , before going to a Model A frame for that set up..

The 34 frame has a beautiful aesthetic that closely follows the lines of the body. Even if the only exposed part of the 'A' frame was in the engine bay, you'd immediately see that something was off. A frame is too crude and boxy looking for that application. There would just be no point in using a model a frame. Even if the car is full fendered and you'll never see the frame, you'd still be better off building something beefier. It's one of those deals where you COULD do it... but you SHOULDN'T do it.

    Pictures speak a thousand words.

1934 frame on the left, Model A on the right.

    1. What body style are you working with ?
    2. I know your talking about lengthening the chassis,.. but were talking 9" difference here., From 103" to 112".
    3. It just ain't going to look right. IMHO

Well I wouldn't rule it as RATROD or anything just different! IF and a big IF IT WAS DONE RIGHT it would be okay by right as like a Altered race car! Think Jack Ditmar's LIL Screamer 313 altered!

All of these seem to have the wheelbase a lil on the short side, think 2x3 or 2x4 square tube or a heavily boxed A frame! here ya go!

The 33/34 body is wider than the Model A also, why the desire to use the A frame?

My 32 body was channeled over A rails in 1960. it's now sitting on a gennie 32 frame though if that tells you anything....
