Here is one from back in the day - 1960 according to the license plate. Anyone from the Vancouver/Victoria area of British Columbia recognize the car?

  3. Killer upgrade man, and I think it fits the car you are building better.

Amazing work on here! My hat is off to all of you for saving these cars and turning them into works of art.

Still collecting parts for this one. I was told this was a Mopar so was not in a big hurry to go look. Was pleasantly surprised when I first saw it.

Sam - what is the story on this one? Looks like a lot of extra parts - fenders etc are included.

We found a number of 33-34 Ford coupe bodies in 2012 that were posted on this thread. Let's see what 2013 brings. There are more out there, get your camera out and tell us about them!

It was in the classifieds on ford barn, bumped a few pages in. I had been working on a 34 5 window but really got disheartened with the body, a real mess.this needs the usual lower patches and floor but real happy with it
I believe it was originally from CA, went to a body shop in wa, now it's here in Australia

I don't think I've participated in this one yet. So here's my 3w. Dave Simard built the body when my dad owned it. I inherited it when he passed away. I've been working on putting a '35 pickup firewall in to make room for the Y-block.

    Get on that Mark.

I can't wait to see you get yours together. I love everything else that has come out of your garage and I'm sure this will be the best one yet.

Selling the SCS made me some cash to get to work on this. I have new springs and a fuel tank coming at the end of the week.

A friend has a new TIG that he's waiting on a new set of torches for. When they come in, we're going to finish the firewall with it.

    Things are moving along again.

General Gow - the 35 Ford pickup firewall fits very well. Did you have to do some trimming? It would be great if you could show us more pics, the firewall installation looks great!

i'll look to see if i took pics. i am usually pretty terrible about taking pics while i'm working.

the top vertical portion of the firewall is stock, below that it is '35 truck. a little trimming was required. what i did was hammer the flanges flat, cut them off, and folded the sides back up into a flange the same height as stock. i think that effectively trims about 3/4 inch off each side, and it fit like a glove.

the little dog legs at the bottom are cut out of what stock firewall pieces remained.

let me see what i can find in my files. and i'll post them up.

General Gow - great work, that firewall fits like a glove and still retains a lot of the stock look. Thanks for the tip!

Pulled this pic off another thread. This is the start of the California Kid built back in the early 70's by Pete Chapouris. Another hot rod that has endured over time.

Here's my 34 coupe body as shown in post #168 sitting on a chassis. Just making a roller out of it for now, but going to bolt on the fenders, running boards, hood, grill etc. soon.
