Hot Rods 33-34 Ford 5 Window Discovered Today.

Came accross this 33-34 Ford Coupe today.It MAY be for sale.The owner says that he has all of the parts that are not on the car.As you can see,it has been sitting in this barn for a really long time.It does have some rust along the bottom of the body.I think that it is on a 40ish Ford frame.QUESTION: WHAT IS IT WORTH ?? What would be a reasonable offer??

 

Better get a price nailed down and the $$$$$'s on the table before a bunch of folks find out about it and a bidding war breaks out.

That's a 1934 Ford 5/W and its on the stock 1934 Ford frame with "Juice" brakes, windshield frame and at least quarter window moldings,..... looks like you have yourself a find there,..... does it have the doors, hood, grill, title ?,.... these will all work into the value of this car.

 

Compair it to the other one from last week here on the HAMB, think that one sold for $6,500 in about the same shape. The sled on the seat is worth about $10.00 on eBay.

If it's ALL there, ya know, doors fender's, hood and grill included... i've seen guy's spend upwards of 10K without thinking twice..sometime's more.

no way I would walk away from that without some definite answers.

O.K.,. so don't tease us,..... what's the price ?,... If you were hoping to get it for 2 to 4 grand,..... yeah, we all would. What is all there with it and what price are they asking, we will tell you if it's to much, but more info on what's included is the key.

Get over there with $4,000.00 in one pocket, and at least another $3,500 in the other pocket (to slowly build up the pile if the 4K isn't enough),..... if it has a grill, doors, hood, title, grab that puppy ! (IMHO)

I still would think in today's market it'd be in that 10k area..maybe more to some..
I paid more than 3,000 for my 32 body alone a few years back and it's nowhere near as complete.

I agree with Harms Way..if you've got the coin and want the car get over there and make the move before someone else does......and they will.

give him 5k and a good smack in the mouth... If he says no push is face in the fucking hood. say, you see the pits maybe you should look a little closer. then give him 6.

 

just what I can see in the pics is worth 5 G's minimum.

grille? fenders? anything else?

does it have a filled top or are the photos deceiving?

 

that's a damn good way to get shot at my shop.

Bring over some beer and talk shit for a hour then ask him what he expects to get for it .And buy it .

 

Just for the record: it's a 34 Coupe, The dashboard is 34. and the hole for the hood handle on the side of the firewall say's 34 also.

So go and get it, NOW

 

34 Deluxe. He's right to turn down 3... it's worth 10 easy.

 

This one has been for sale for awhile now for 18K, @ 10 miles from me.....just to give you an idea of what "some" people "think" these are worth.....

$10K easy, if the doors/hood/gille are all there.

Likely more if you spent the time to media blast it and paint it and do some reassembly for the mentally rust challeneged.

My question is what the heck do those great big pistons laying in it, go to? If a pedal pad is about 3 inches in diameter, those things are like 6 inches across.

 

There's a couple of project 34 5/w's on ebay right now.
Track them, see what they go for to get an idea of current value of your prospective 34. If yours has a set of cherry fenders, grille, hood, etc. it'll definately pump the value.
3-4 grand will generally buy you some nice 34 parts, but not a coupe body&frame,etc.

If he says he's turned down three, I would say 4-5 would buy it. He may also be fishing to see what your reaction would be to that. I'd buy that so fast...one of my favorite cars. Not only are they getting worth more and more, but they are also getting so hard to find in any shape. In a few years, that will be a 20,000.00 on up car

 

When it comes to 32's, 33's, and 34's, and making offers, don't bring a peashooter to a gunfight. Chances like these don't come around too often, so don't fuck up the deal over
peanuts. Now whataya waitin for? Go get it.

 

All I got at this point is a peashooter....Need to save more cash......
