I'm restoring a 32 ford radiator core surround. That is to say the steel sides that get soldered to the top of the radiator tank and extend down to where the radiator sits on the frame of the car. What I need to know is the distance between the two holes on the side of the surround that the shell is mounted to. It will be about 17" center to center but I don't know exactly........Can anyone with an original shell help?

  2. How about a picture of what you're looking for? Are you talking top-to-bottom? I'm pulling the radiator and engine in my 32 later this week - be happy to measure anything for you, take pictures, etc..

My original shell is 17 1/4", top mounting hole to bottom mounting hole.

Thanks for the replies. Sounds like 17-1/4" is the ticket.
