I had a real hard time finding hinges for my A....ended up buying some from bluechipengineering.com. A little pricey but really nice pieces...subscribed to this build. I am in the patch panel process on mine now so I'll be looking forward to it.

350 doesnt seem bad for new hinges in my book . one of those thing you cant get around. that means each piece costs around 60 dollars . i know i couldnt make a half a hinge in a little over and hour if i was working at 50 bux an hour ..

got my firewall back as well . aslot more work then taking it just back to stock .

the mess i gotta work with

cracks behind the rad support brackets . must have been a 30 because it doesnt have the supports behind them.

i dont know what these holes are for but they wont work on the hot rod .

so i shaved them but i didnt cut the reveal out . it had to be one piece before it was pressed soooo.... i put a cut and did some hammer and dolly work and thats an easy way to get it flat again

stock on the left and for the hot rod on the right

mine was a mess from the factory super lumpy in the curve in the middle and press marks every where . still about 47 more holes to fill haha

  18. Somebody must have cut out those extensions to get it off the frame instead of cutting the bolts. I've never seen one rot that way.

  24. I see you left your lip on the cowl, I welded my tank in also and cut my lip off. It was a good thing I saved it because a Model A has a lip like Model A's have visers, they belong on the car, I welded my lip back on. Nice work.

i agree with the lip but there are some nice visorless cars!

    thanks no6

got some patches from snyders today . i expected them to be the full bottom but nope.

the tig likes those gaps tight!

    all welded up

i guess they dont expect people to be fixing super rotten cars . so i had to add this piece

    in place

this little piece was the biggest pain of the day took a few attempts to figure out how to make the weird bead shape

and this is it all said and done minus the rivet to the subframe connector
