One reason why I live in the South is so I can work on my cars alllllllll winter long! Here are some shots of what I have been up to in Dallas, Tejas. I really need some interior suggestions. The area of question is above the shoulders and the headliner. I am not sure where to or how to frame, piece or seam it. If you have photos post em! The paint is in the wet sand process and not yet buffed. Yes I said buffed. To many suedes and flat black deals out there. Time to go in the opposite direction.
Interior idea, line the body and head liner with used blue jeans. Pants, shirts, cutup and sown together mostly pocket sections. This gives you lots of secret storage. It adds texture, hides dirt, low $ and makes the statement Blue-collar worker. Just an idea, you can just say NO!
Something similar to what Rolf posted, but use the pearlescent & sparkly black vinyl w/ red piping. White is an SOB to keep clean.
White is good for Kontrast and pop but you are right...one B...h to keep klean. The wood is fastned by screws and small corner angles from wherever you can put hidden screw holes or brace it against itself. Some bolts involved on hidden braces. Floor is wooden and metal combo. I have spent most of the time in engineering thought about how to triangulate this. $10.00 inappropriate word.
Front of trunk is covered with flattened Galvanized stove pipe. An old stocker requirement in case of fire or explosion. This may just give me enough time to get out and save getting burnt up if hit from the rear.
man, that thing is sweeeet! i wished i'd have gone 6"on the chop, i went 4" and channeled 4". i'm 6 ft. tall and i still got about 2" above my head, of course i'm suckin on my fuckin' kneecaps when i'm drivin' it but i still look cool from the outside! by the way, we work on ours alllll winter up here in new england too, last sunday the temp reached a high of 15 degrees but in my little one car garage with all the work lights on and a small space heater running i had it up to 69 degrees! yup, winter is for workin' on 'em and spring, summer and fall are for drivin them. my interior is in the same state as yours and i'm wondering what to do with it. great job on the coupe, it does look cool. i'm diggin the www with the 5-spokes. mike
I do have a rug for it, I just got it out right now while I'm puttin a new crate 350 ( I know - not too trad but I'm old and I'm lookin for reliability ) and a 5-speed I just got out of an 86 Iroc-Z camaro, had to redo the access panel on the floor as well as make a new tranny crossmember, so it does look a little better with the rug in there, one of these days gotta do something with the headliner and all. I'm putting the thin chrome diamond plate on the doors and kick panels, I know that much! If ya need any other pics just let me know, I'll see what i can do, good luck there man. Mike
Cool Lookin 30! What do you mean you are old? Drivin that car you are only as old as you feel and that aint old....
[ QUOTE ] bitchin coupes...there goes drJ with the chickens again [/ QUOTE ] I was just making joke about the 30' in the title... Commonly, '30 is short for 1930. 30' is short for thirty feet, as in ten yards! That'd be a pretty good size coop unless it was a commercial operation and then it might be just the tool shed for the coop.
i got it,i just thought i remembered you making some references about having chickens before...of coarse,i'm from delaware...and everyone here has chickens
