Finally making progress on the 30. Going with 283 power pack 220 hp max and a T400 trans with a 55 chevy rear 4.11 gear. The Chevy chassis is challenging, I am trying to keep as much stock as well. Using Stock springs, and stock interior.

Stovebolt 6........was advanced when you compare to a 30 Ford. Actual Fuel Pump, Rear Fuel Tank, Carb with accelerator pump, Crank Case PCV, Overhead Valves, Distributor with timing control cable. Car Had Speedometer with Odometer, Oil Pressure, Volt Meter, Water Temp, Fuel Gauge, Brake Light Switch, Low and High Beam Head Lights. Electric Starter and Hand Crank capable.

Very Cool. Seems like a lot more of the old Chevys are being built, lately.

1/2 the price of a Ford, and many manufactures of mounts, cross members, headers, ect...much easier these days. Speedway is key in my 401K demise.

    Yes engine set.
Yep. Only have to shim final height under production trans and Speedway Mounts with Moroso Body Mounts.
Only have to cobble a lower hose - temporary for extended run time. 3/8 fuel line to tank addresses fuel side. I see they make a 15 gal brand new fuel tank...$249 not sure I can beat that.

Got the cooling system............rigged....have about 3 feet of lower hose. Need to add either a surge tank to add a few PSI. So far it seems OK in the shop. 165F running at low idle. System holds about 4 gallons of water... Fan pulls quite a lot of air thru the lower 1/2. of radiator. next is fuel line to OE tank.....getting close. Axle Bearings are pressed on. Housing gaskets on order...as well as 2X new 15 X 6 steel 4.75 chevy OE rims.

Fuel lines plumbed, runming on original tank. Old Chevy has pipe threaded pickup on tank and a drain plug...e ay it should be. Brake lines.....next phase, need 2 days on free time.
