check out the parts store electricians use... may have those hole size adaptors ...

  2. If the outer chrome bezel ring holds it from falling through you could get a 3.375 piston ring from a flattie, and slip it over the body to center it in the hole.

  7. Although Rusty is not in the business anymore I would think he might know the answer to your question, send e1956v a conversation and ask him if he can help. HRP

Hey Danny, appreciate the mention. Just to clear things up I shut down the starter alternator and generator rebuilding side of the business when I sold the building. I still have the speedometer repair side of the business going, operating out a shop in my home garage. So Speedometer Service is still in business.

  11. Here is the fix I came a with...
I bought this aluminum bezel ring on eBay, not sure what is it for...maybe a taillight or a marine gauge.
OD is 3-1/2" and ID is 3"
    $8 with free shipping

Used a drum sander to shave the inside diameter to 3-1/8". Dremel was taking too long. As is, it took me a couple of hours.

You can see how much material I removed.

It has a nice profile. It is already polish and it fit the gauge just right.

Goes well with the rest of the gauge panel

Thank you all for your help and suggestions.
