My other thread was getting old, so here are some new pics of my coupe progress...coming up next, a 4" chop! The earlier work can be found in my signature. Hope you guys aren't getting too bored of Model A coupe builds!
A final few pics after the body re-joined the chassis. The clutch is now functional as well. It doesn't show in the pics, but I also chassis-blacked the underside of the body before reassembly.
Well, as promised, I took 4" out of it today...it is tacked, but it will be a lot of finishing to get everything to fit properly still. It does give the car a totally different attitude though!
NICE Man, bloody NICE! I don't get fed up with Model ''A'' builds far from it!I'm gonna chop my '28/'29 Coupe 4'' and yours gives me a good idea what mine will look like, fuckin' GREAT! Nick.
Wow what a neat build. I dont think I could ever get tired of looking at the construction pics. As I was scrolling down at your posts, I was thinking how neat it looked, even stock height. I was kinda glad to see you didnt go for the 3 inch windshield. Its a nice set down without being extreem. I think when its further along it will show the chop you did was the right amount. Super build, well thought out. I dunno, I am enjoying it!
Thanks for all the great words of encouragment from everyone! I went to the Viva Las Vegas show this weekend, and those extreme chops do look cool sitting in a show, but I don't know how anyone can comfortably drive something like that or see! Besides, I didn't want to deal with all the things that really won't line up when you go more than 4"! I already have enough stuff to "adjust" to make it look presentable again!
Man, I don't boost my post count often enough with "attaboy's", but that is some damn fine lookin' work you got going on there! Nice! Later, Kinky6
I haven't posted any pics in a while, so here's some more to prove I am still working! The body and top wood is complete, and the top is filled, and there is a bonus pic of my painted and lettered valve covers. The Chrysler script is the color of my engine block.
Like the valve covers and the chop. Looking better each time as I follow the post. Get a vid when first started up!!!!
Made some more progress the last few weekends...it actually seems like I might be able to drive it soon....I'm getting anxious!
