Hello HAMB folks I have been lurking on hear the past year soaking up as much info as I can get but I'm at the point I have to start asking a few questions. I'm working on my 28 Roadster that is going on a pinched 32 frame. My question comes about Pie cutting the front cowl to get the body sitting down on the frame with out having to use a wood shim. Dose any one have any pictures of exactly where they cut the cowl? How much needs to be removed? And how about the inner cowl brace I would love to see a few pictures of how people have tackled this Thanks for any info
cut the corner where the horizontal meets the vertical. match the horizontal to the frame and re attach it to the vertical?
I pie cut (left metal (hinge) in hte back) the bottom of the cowl and welded it back... My body didn't have a floor subframe with all that fancy bracing in the back, but it should be about the same....
Marked out my cuts and ended up taking about 3/8" pie cut out to get it to sit down. Now I just need to do the finial fitting and weld it back together
